Shastri Shri Rashmin Vyas

Shastri Shri Rashmin Vyas is from a Northern Indian Pandit family. In his family’s dynasty, he is the third-generation priest and spiritual and religious leader. He graduated from Sanskrit University in Varanasi, India, as an Acharya in Vedic Religion and Astrology. He graduated from Allahabad University in India with an M.A. in Sanskrit. He is from Hindi Vishwa Vidyalaya Prayag (Allahabad), India, and is a Visharad in Dharma Shashtra.

Since November 2003, Panditji has been serving as a priest and spiritual and religious leader in the United States. He is well-versed in astrology, the Vedas, the Puranas, the Ramayana, the Srimad Bhagwat Gita, the Upanishads, and Karma Kand, or religious rites.

He worked as a religious guide at the Hindu Temple and Cultural Center in Des Moines, Iowa, from November 2003 until May 2006. Panditji was honored to conduct a prayer ritual before the Iowa Senate Legislative Assembly. He was the first Hindu and Vedic Pandit at Iowa State. He gave a course on Hindu Vedic religion at Iowa State and started an interfaith discussion in the community.

During his twelve years of education in Allahabad and Varanasi, Shastriji was instructed by Shri Ram Chandra Tripathi of Dhaumy Ashram in Allahabad under the supervision of the late Shri Ashok Ji Singhal, a former president of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad.
Shastriji received a commission letter from President R. Venkata Raman of India in 1985 after completing his studies, designating him as a Junior Commission Officer (Religious Teacher – Dharma Guru) for the Indian Army. He was to serve as a Pandit for the troops officers, their families, and relatives. After serving in the Indian Army for eighteen years, Shastriji was awarded three medals for his exceptional performance.
Additionally, Shastriji was a Pandit for the renowned Temple of Shri Mata Vaishnavdevi shrine board in Jammu and Kashmir, India, where over 100,000 devotees visit each month on average. The effort to renovate the First Darshan of Mata Vaishno- Nagrota, Jammu and Kashmir, was overseen and managed by Shastri Ji .
